I want to go off on a tangent today and talk about how I launch a new product, and the real importance of jv brokers and jv partners (and also about a JV Boot Camp program I just signed up for). This process only works if you have a rock solid product that clearly offers heaps of value to your customers – there isn’t any other type of product really, is there?
I’m not going to go into detail about good copy on your sales page, I just want to concentrate on a quick launch technique I use.
Most of my products are non IM related – but every now and again I’ll feel the need to create a product aimed squarely at the Internet Marketing crowd, so this is where I’ll start.
My first port of call is usually always to find a very good and highly respected JV broker. A good broker can literally be worth their weight in gold – this applies to any market you’re in, not just the Internet Marketing market.
A good jv broker will actually do the work of finding you all the jv partners you’ll ever need. The good ones work on a commission only basis, so it won’t cost you anything up front to use their services. You can expect to pay between 10% and 25% commission on top of the commissions you pay to your jv partners, so it’s important to have a great product with a price point that will make it worth while for everybody involved.
One guy I highly respect (simply because he’s very good, very well known and very well respected within the industry) is Reed Floren.
Reed has been JV Brokering for some time now, and has a “hot line” to all the serious players in the IM arena that can really make of break a product launch.
Reed can pretty much take care of your complete JV partner management, leaving you to concentrate on creating and perfecting your product.
As a side note, Reed has also just launched a new product of his own that I think you should at least take a look at. If you appreciate the power of jv brokering and jv partners, this could be right up your street.
